Objectives: support the development and institutionalization of a robust NDC tracking framework for Georgia, with a focus on key climate sectors.

The specific objectives of the project are:

(1) updating the National Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan

(2) developing a framework for tracking NDC

(3) integrating the MRV framework for assessing selected sectors

Project activities: Update the National Climate Strategy and Action Plan to align it with NDC 3.0 and develop and implement NDC tracking system by using the GACMO tool across all the sectors; Manage and track the implementation of NDC mitigation actions in the selected sectors by applying a framework for regular collection and management of the necessary data, including those needed to compile GHG inventories, project GHG emissions, assess the impact of relevant policies and measures, and develop appropriate indicators for reporting on progress achieved;
