Objectives –

The objective of this grant activity is a) to support MEPA in implementation of the Law on Environmental Liability and b) update the technical regulation on monetary compensation for environmental damage.

The grantee is expected to carry out the following activities:

• Task I: Support the relevant bodies to revise the draft secondary legislation and develop methodologies for implementation of the Law on Environmental Liability and conduct workshop/training for MEPA
• Task II: Recommendation on updating environmental damage calculation methodology (GoG Order #234)
